Annahilt Wednesday Club evolved in Autumn 2024 following two very successful events held earlier that year.

The Club is a community wide initiative to bring together members of the community who are retired or semi-retired. Meetings are held monthly, generally, but not exclusively the third Wednesday from 11am to 12.30pm in Annahilt Parish Hall. Some funds have been secured from Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council which acts as a catalyst towards the costs involved.

Mornings usually commence with tea/coffee and scones and plenty of chat around the tables and then there is 30-40 minutes of programme activity, which could be games or a visiting speaker on a topic of interest. For the last few minutes information on various things of interest/assistance or other events in the area is shared.

All seniors and retirees are welcome. There is no set fee but donations towards costs are voluntary.
