Annahilt Parish has been awarded a £10K grant from Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council Community Facilities Fund, towards the work on the relocation of the vehicular entrance to the Parochial Hall.
The Select Vestry has for several decades been concerned by the safety risk entering and exiting our properties and following several years work by the Building Committee & Select Vestry and many meetings with various agencies, we are now in a position to proceed with this project. Once completed, the new vehicular entrance to the hall and associated footpath on the church side of the road will make entering and exiting the hall car park and crossing the main road much safer. Initial site works commenced in late August 2023.
The Parochial Hall is a valuable asset in the community, being used by both Parish and Community activities. The Parish is grateful to Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council for this grant towards the work which is anticipated to cost in the region of £70K when completed.
